Tom Cruise is finally admitting that his devotion to Scientology may have been partly to blame for the demise of his marriage to Katie Holmes. In a recent deposition…he is suing a tabloid for saying he abandoned daughter Suri after splitting with Katie…Tom was asked is Katie left the marriage because of the church and he said no, but when he was asked whether “Katie Holmes left you in part to protect Suri from Scientology”…he replied, “Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes.”
Tom is suing Bauer Publishing for $50 million after magazine In Touch published a cover story claiming he “abandoned” Suri after his divorce from Holmes. Tom does say he did not see Suri for 100 days as he filmed a movie in London, but says he talked to her everyday. Suri no longer practices Scientology.
