Jennifer Lopez is headed back to TV. Lopez will star and executive produce (along with American Idol buddy Ryan Seacrest) the NBC police drama, Shades of Blue according to Deadline. The show written by Adi Hasak will begin working on scripts this summer with a possible 2015 production to air during the 2015-16 season, although not in September. Lopez will start as Harlee McCord, an undercover cop.
“Shades of Blue is a complex police series that centers on Harlee McCord (Lopez), a single mother and detective recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force. Part of a close-knit unit known for its conviction record, Harlee has become compromised by her colleagues- all of who pitch in to help her raise her daughter — and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself.” NBC has already picked up 13 episodes for the TV drama.
I would tune in…will you? It will be funny to see Jennifer back on TV, but not as a judge as showing off her acting chops.
