Joan Rivers went toe to toe with one of the CNN’s anchor Fredricka Whitfield while promoting her book, “Diary of a Mad Diva.” Rivers become a little defensive when it seemed like Whitfield commented on Rivers humor being a little ‘mean’ and for ‘shock’ value…she even talked about Joan’s fur on the cover of the book…to which Rivers retorted, “This whole interview is turning into a defensive interview. Are you wearing leather shoes? Then shut up!”

Rivers did not seem to like Whitfield’s kinds of questions and comments and ended the interview, but not before saying, “I’ve made people laugh for 50 years, I am put on Earth to make people laugh. My book is funny. I wear fur that was killed 15 years ago, I work for animal rights. You are not the one to interview a person who does humor. Sorry.”

Rivers felt that the interview took too much of a negative spin which I agree with, but I also thoughtshe could handle it even though she bolted.
