FX's "Sons Of Anarchy" Season 6 Premiere Screening - Arrivals

‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey. While many died hard fans of the book who opposed Charlie will be pleased, the studio now has to scramble to find his replacement. Charlie sited his TV schedule for his change of heart. “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures said in a statement.

Hunnam was set to star as ‘Christian Grey’ with  Dakota Johnson in the film version of the best selling book, Fifty Shades of Grey. SOA was set to end production on  Oct. 21 and Fifty starting in November in Vancouver not giving him enough time to prep, but a source tells THR that Charlie was overwhelmed by the attention of the role and got cold feet. Allegedly he had no problem playing the risque role but the media and fan frenzy made him turn down the role.
