Lady Gaga finally settled the lawsuit her former personal assistant slapped her with. Jennifer O’Neill alleged that Gaga worked her extra hours without paying her overtime while working with the pop star in 2009 and 2010, but Gaga decided to settle the lawsuit thus it was dismissed on Monday. Lady Gaga maintains that O’Neill’s $75,000 salary required she be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. O’Neill’s lawyer claims her “on-call” time could potentially qualifies for overtime compensation.
During her deposition Gaga explained the job was unconventional. “You don’t get a schedule. You don’t get a schedule that is like you punch in and you can play … at your desk for four hours and then you punch out at the end of the day. This is when I need you, you’re available.”
