Tamera Mowry teared up during her recent interview on OWN’s “Where Are They Now” whaen talking about the hateful messages she has received after marrying, Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, who happens to be white. With twin sister Tia Mowry by her side she explained the hate she has received for her interracial marriage.”I’ve never experienced so much hate ever in my life. I get called, ‘White man’s whore,’ the new one, ‘Back in the day, you cost $300 but now you’re giving it to ‘em for free.’ Stuff that, me as a person, could never even fathom. I can’t even think of these words.”
Tamera added, “It’s very hard for me to think of it because I’m a product of it. My mom is a beautiful black woman and my dad is an amazing white man. I grew up seeing a family. I didn’t grow up seeing, ‘ooh a ____ with a white person!’ So it’s very shocking to go thru this. This was the big one. They say, ‘oh Tia’s a true black woman because she married a black man.’ Oh? I’m lesser of a black person because I married white?
Tia also chimmed in saying she gets discriminatry remarks too…”I’ve had people say that you [Tamera] done it right by marrying a white man.” But Tamara is proud of her family, which includes baby boy, Aden.”I love my husband so much. I love my family. I love our dynamic. I’m proud to be in the relationship I am in because it’s based on love. Pure love.”
This is just gross…people who say these things are gross. Makes me sooo sad and tearful! I loves me some “Sister, Sister” growing up and both Tia and Tamera are such beautiful woman!
