In one swift tweet Justin Bieber unknowingly offended billions. Bieber has been touring Japan and asked his driver to stop at the beautiful shrine, Yasukuni Shrine he had spotted and quickly tweeted “Thank you for your blessings” along with a pic at the shrine…unbeknownst to him it happened to be a controversial Japanese war shrine that honors Japanese who have died at war, but also includes war criminal.
Fans asked Bieber to remove the tweet, which he did, but he also apologized. “While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan.”
Maybe the driver should have told him the history of the shrine. It’s a mistake…
