Lance Armstrong has had to fight rumors that he was on performance enhancing drugs during his career. Armstrong has decided to no longer fight charges and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency announced on Friday it would strip the cyclist of all of his record-setting seven Tour de France titles and ban him from the sport according to E!News. He will also have to give back the bronze medal he won at the 2000 Olympics and all other awards and prizes from Aug. 1, 1998. The USADA claims to have eyewitnesses who have said that Armstrong did in fact take drugs.

Armstrong released his own statement on his website ,

There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, “Enough is enough.” For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in winning my seven Tours since 1999. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a two-year federal criminal investigation followed by Travis Tygart’s unconstitutional witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for our foundation and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense.
