Alex Band, the lead singer from the band The Calling was abducted from a Michigan street while going for a walk, was beaten and the released nearby train tracks according to TMZ. Band was in Lapeer, MI for a music festival and decided to walk to a local mini mart around 4am Sunday morning when the incident occurred. A van allegedly pulled up next to the singer, pulled him into the vehicle and beat him up and dumped him at a nearby tracks.
When one of his band mates realized he was missing he began a search party for Band and was later found, his condition remains unclear. The Lapeer City Police Department say they have two suspects, driving a “blue colored minivan.” Band was robbed during the abduction, it is unknown what was taken from him. When found he was taken to the emergency room, treated and later released.
Update: TMZ seems to calling Alex’s bluff…his injuries don’t look at all life threatening and the band is making a comeback, but he says it’s no hoax. The rep says Alex told them he told his captors not to kill him because he is going to be a father… “Don’t kill me as I am about to be a dad,” and his captors said,”We don’t kill fathers.” Sounds likely…
