Kanye West auditioned for American Idol—never mind that he is already a super successful rapper. Kanye stopped by the San Francisco audition and gave it his all in front of Jennifer, harry and Keith for a chance at Hollywood. “My name is Kanye. I’m from the South Side of Chicago. I’m originally a producer. I always wanted to rap and no one really believed in me, so I wanted to try some things out, you know?”
And he got the ticket to Hollywood of course, with Kim supporting him on the sidelines!

AMERICAN IDOL will begin its 15th – and farewell – season with a special two-night, four-hour premiere event Wednesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Jan. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. AMERICAN IDOL XV continues on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursdays (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
