Joan Rivers: Celebs Flock To Private Funeral!

Melissa Rivers said goodbye to her mother yesterday when, giving a tearful kiss to her mother’s casket when it was placed in the back of a hearse to headed to a New Jersey crematorium on Saturday from the Frank E. Campbell funeral home on the Upper East Side. Melissa was joined by her son, Conner was was seen comforting his mother.A private funeral service is set for today at the Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan and may be a little quieter than Joan wanted, but with a ton of celebs nonetheless…according to the NYTimes, Diane Sawyer; Barbara Walters; David Letterman; Howard Stern; Rosie O’Donnell; Whoopi Goldberg; Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick; and Donald Trump, Guliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne showed up to pay tribute to Joan.

There was a performance by the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus  who sang  “What a Wonderful World,” “There Is Nothing Like a Dame” and “Big Spender” and a ton of tributes including one from Melissa. There were also  bagpipers and drummers from the New York Police Department who played  “New York, New York.”

I’m sure Joan would have loved it!
