Such sad news, G.R.L. singer and former X Factor contestant Simone Battle is dead at age 25 (above image, second from the right). According to the DailyMail the young singer was found dead in her L.A. home around 8am on Friday. The dead is still under investigation. Her father Anthony E Battle told MailOnline, “She will be greatly missed and loved,’ Mr Battle said. ‘She was an exuberant person and a very loved person.”
Robin Antin, The group’s founder relased a ststement with Reign Deer Entertainment, Kemosabe Records, RCA Records, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
Update: Simone died of an apparent suicide. According to TMZ, she was found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom.
