Skylar Laine got the boot last night on America Idol and to our surprise, she is ‘relieved!’ “I’m just really relieved right now,” Laine, 18, told PEOPLE with a smile. “No more stress.” She then went on to tell reporters, “There’s no pressure anymore. There’s no pressure about songs anymore. I went out on a good note. I loved both the songs. I think I did [well] on both songs, and I’m very happy with both performances.”
But did Skylar get the brush off from Jennifer Lopez after her elimination?
“Jennifer didn’t say much to me at the end,” she told E!. “She just said, ‘See you later.’ She was [short], but Steven [Tyler] is a known fan of mine, and him and Randy [Jackson] both told me I’ll have a long career. I also heard that Carrie Underwood said to someone that the country music community has already welcomed me with open arms, and that means a lot to me.”
