Bravo’s Andy Cohen is a little miffed at former NY Housewife’ Jill Zarin after she revealed that one of her friends secretly recorded their recent intveriew for Watch What Happens Live and Bravo is upset. Zarin says her friends wanted to protect her from edits that could have made her look bad, but she ended up being pleased with the interviews outcome. Cohen took to Twitter and said, “@Jillzarin if you loved me you wouldn’t secretly tape me!”
Jill Zarin pulled in big ratings when she confronted Andy Cohen on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” but network execs aren’t thrilled after learning her entourage secretly taped the full interview, we hear. The fired “Real Housewives” star was worried her pre-taped confrontation with Cohen would be unfairly edited, and one of her team recorded the entire exchange. But Zarin tells Page Six she had no idea the interview was recorded: “Someone in my party did use an iPhone, because they love me and wanted to protect me . . . to make sure I remembered what I said, and that what I said was accurately edited. It was for my own protection.” The interview was edited down from 44 minutes to 22. Zarin, who told Cohen her dismissal was “like a death,” says she was very happy with the result. It’s “thanks to Andy,” she says she’s now headed to LA, and “all these networks want to talk to me.” But, “Secretly taping an interview is no way for Jill to get herself back on the network . . . or any network, for that matter,” sniffed a source. Bravo had no comment.
