Another cast member says goodbye to SNL, Andy Samberg announced today that he would not return to the NBC comedy sketch show. Samberg told The NY Times today, “It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life. Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.”We will always remember “I’m on a Boat,” “I Just Had Sex” and D**ck in a Box!! Samberg’s departure comes after Kristen Wiig announced her departure from the show a few weeks back.“She kept saying it just feels like it’s her time. I connect with that. Something about it just feels like it’s the moment. My contract’s up and I did so much more than I ever thought I would ever even do.”
Samberg does hope to return to SNL and do a digital short or even host, “That’s the kind of thing that I really do hope happens.” Now what will Jason Sudeikis do?
