Anne Hathaway’s got a pretty clean record…no public drunken nights, fights, court cases or addictions, but she was a little ‘devastated’ she flashed her private parts to a mob of photographers Monday night at the “Les Miserables” NY premiere. According to the NYDailyNews, Hathaway was heard telling Vanity Fair writer Ingrid Sischy, “I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them.”
Hathaway’s learned her lesson…wear panties! Hathaway stopped by the Today Show were Matt Lauer asked about the recent wardrobe incident. She said, “It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One, that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it. And I’m sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to Les Mis: That’s what my character is, she is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there’s no social safety net.”
