Its been a while since the huge Arnold Schwarzenegger cheating scandal/love child news broke, but now the Former Governor of California is breaking his silence in his new autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story and explains how wife, Maria Shriver confronted him about his alleged affair with the maid and the possible love child. Shriver waited until the day after he stepped down as Governor to confront him at therapy, which he thought was just a session to transition from public life to a private one after leaving office.
“The minute we sat down, the therapist turned to me and said, ‘Maria wanted to come here today and to ask about a child — whether you fathered a child with your housekeeper Mildred. I told the therapist, ‘It’s true.’ ”
Schwarzenegger goes on to say he was in denial that Mildred Baena’s son, Joseph was his, but as the child grew older he saw a resemblance. He said he kept the secret from Shriver because of embarrassment, wanting to keep it a secret and not wanting thje Kennedy family to find out. He called Shriver a ”perfect wife’ and that he was still turned on by her.” But instead of doing the right thing, I’d just put the truth in a mental compartment and locked it up where I didn’t deal with it every day.” Schwarzenegger still holds on to hope he will reunite with Shriver.
