Ben Affleck is a die-hard Boston Red Soxs fan that when Gone Girl director David Fincher asked him to wear a Yankee’s baseball cap during filming he refused…and said hell no which cause a slight fight! Ben told told the New York Times about that drama on-set, which also includes a brief nude scene, “That was the only fight David and I had, and it was a legitimate fight.”

During a scene for Gone Girl Ben’s character is at a NY airport and trying not to be recognized –so the director wanted Ben to wear a Yankees hat. “I said, ‘David, I love you, I would do anything for you. But I will not wear a Yankees hat. I just can’t. I can’t wear it because it’s going to become a thing, David. I will never hear the end of it. I can’t do it.’ And I couldn’t put it on my head.”

He added, “It was an uprising; it was a coup, I rioted. It was a one-man riot against the Yankees.” So the men were forced to compromise with a Mets hat instead. “This was very Switzerland,” Ben said.

Wow…now that’s called not selling out!!
