It’s official, The Clinton’s are finally getting their first grandchild! Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky are expecting. Chelsea made the announcement during a speech at a Clinton Foundation event meant to empower young girls, with her mother in tow. “Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year.”
Chelsea told the crowd filled with girls, “I certainly feel all the better whether it’s a girl or a boy that she or he will grow up in a world full of so many strong, young female leaders. So thank you for inspiring me.” And later added, “I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child — hopefully children — as my mom was to me.”
I think the Clinton’s have been hoping for this for a while…Chelsea is their only child so they had to wait around until she was ready…well get ready for the babysitting…unless Hilary become President then that’s a whole ‘nother story. The grandparents-to-be are obviously very excited tweeting, Hilary tweeted, “My most exciting title yet: Grandmother-To-Be! @billclinton and I are thrilled that Chelsea and Marc are expecting their first child!” and Bill wrote, Excited to add a new line to my Twitter bio…grandfather-to-be! @hillaryclinton and I are so happy for Chelsea and Marc!
