Awww, everyone makes mistakes but this will haunt Christina Aguilera for a little while. Christina is a seasoned pro so everyone was surprised at her huge National Anthem mistake.
The lyrical mistake went like this…
Instead of “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming” turned into “what so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last [unintelligable lyric].”
Christina is said to be devastated and released a statement,
“I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place. I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through,” she said.
Poor girl!
