CNN has decided to shut down Piers Morgan Tonight after three years on the air. The poor ratings on Piers Morgan Tonight were partially to blame for the cancellation another reason…Morgan’s take on American issues irritated viewers. Morgan tweeted about his dismissal, “Humbling to bring such happiness to so many people today. Coming 3rd, as I’ve always said, is not a trophy. #MorganOut #CNN. ” And later added, “I wouldn’t get too excited @NRA – I’m not done with you yet @GunControlNow.”
Morgan is a former U.K. tabloid editor, currently under fire fir his alleged involvement in the UK phone hacking trial. He later became a TV personality with shows like,“Britain’s Got Talent” “America’s Got Talent,” and “Celebrity Apprentice.” Morgan took over for Larry King after 25 years with CNN. The official end date for the show has not been announced.
