Julianne Hough got a new title on Dancing with the Stars, she went from dancer to judge. Hough will return to the show as a judge for season 19 sitting along side the veteran judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba when the show returns on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Hough revealed the news this morning on Good Morning America, “I’m so excited to be back with my Dancing with the Stars family again on a regular basis. I’ve always aspired to be an all-around entertainer, whether I’m acting, dancing or singing, and I’m thrilled for this opportunity that will allow me to continue all of those pursuits. Derek and I just finished our Move Live on Tour, which reminded me how much I miss the interaction with the dance fans that have been so supportive of me in my career. I am warming up the paddles and the sass, and I’m ready to have fun in this new role.”
And yes Julianne will get to judge her brother…I wonder how that will go over at the family dinner table when she criticizes Derek a little too rough….
Julianne has two winners trophies under her belt and took a turn at judging when she was a guest judge last season.
