I don’t like to be too matchy matchy but when I my paint my nails I usually just match them both my fingers and toes. It easier and I think it makes sense. I don’t want to have blue polish on my toes and pink on my hands. It’s easier to match the rest of my outfit if my nail polish matches. Now if you want to be different then by all means go the opposite way and try two different colors.
