Don’t fret for Kim Kardashian, her baby is no longer breech after undergoing a procedure to shift the baby to a birthing position. After Kim’s baby boy wouldn’t budge on his position Kim underwent a ECV (External Cephalic Version) in which three doctors had to manually turn the baby around.
“This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV, which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position.They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby,” Kim explained on her website.
“There was a risk that my water might break or the baby’s heart rate could drop — in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all! They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth. BUT it worked!!! My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section. I’m so thankful for my doctors! I now have a cold and sinus infection, so I have to fight through this and get better! I’m going to have North have a sleepover with her cousins for the next two days so I can really sleep and get better. She loves sleepovers and I really need this time to get better. I haven’t been able to sleep and just need to catch up.”
Wow I think Kim is done with babies—at least using her own womb! She has not had good pregnancies!
