Prince Harry is officially off the market. This morning Clarence House announced the engagement of Harry and longtime girlfriend, Meghan Markle. “His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month,” Clarence House said in a statement. “Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents. The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.”
The couple began dating in July 2016 and made their relationship status official in October 2016. The wedding will take place in Spring 2018 according to Clarence House. The couple posed for their first official photos to announce the engagement at The Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace and Meghan showed off her ring while Harry gushed over his new fiance—when asked by a reporter when he knew Meghan “was the one”, Prince Harry said: “The very first time we met”.
Harry’s big brother, Prince William, and wife, Kate Middleton also released a statement: “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
We wonder if Meghan will continue acting?
