James Franco allegedly engaged in a conversation with an underage teenage girl over Instagram and is not embarrassed over his mistake. During a stop to Live with Kelly and Michael, James explained, “I’m embarrassed. I guess I’m just a model about how social media’s tricky. It’s a way people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end. I used bad judgment and I learned my lesson. Unfortunately, in my position, not only do I have to go through the embarrassing rituals of meeting someone, but if I do that, then it gets published for the world so it’s doubly embarrassing.”
James allegedly met the teen, Lucy Clode outside his Broadway show Of Mice & Men and later after she tagged him on a photo began a conversation with her that included her age, where she was staying and her phone number. Of course took took screen shots of the conversation and now James has to explain himself.
Now there is at least one rumor that this alleged Instagram interaction is all a hoax. Not only did the alleged conversation take place on April 1st but James’ new movie trailer, Palto Alto also dropped the dame day making us speculate he is using this ‘incident’ as publicity for his new movie.
