When is Justin Bieber going to pick up his monkey? Justin may have asked that his 17-week-old capuchin monkey, Mally be removed from the shelter she is staying at and be placed in a zoo but German  customs authorities say the monkey is saying put for now!

Mally was placed in the shelter after being  seized by customs on March 28 when Justin failed to provide proper paper work to travel with the monkey after landing in Munich during his tour and she has been there ever since. A rep for  the Munich Animal Protection League shelter, where Mally is located says she has received two emails from Bieber’s management company. The first email asks how long does Justin have to provide paperwork until the monkey is  euthanize (Germany doesn’t  animals in shelters) and the second email asked about placing Mally in a zoo. “Our team is looking into the idea of placing Mally at a zoo in Germany. Would you happen to have any recommendations for places that Mally would be safe and thrive? Again, we are very concerned that Mally is safe and placed in the best possible residence.”

But customs says that Mally will stay in the shelter until Justin or  someone with his power of attorney contacts them directly. Bieber has until May 17 to provide Mally’s paperwork.”If by May 17 there is nothing, then he loses ownership of the animal and it becomes the property of the Federal Republic of Germany. If Bieber really does want to place the animal in a zoo, he is welcome to contact customs authorities and forfeit Mally at any time, but will likely have to pay costs associated with keeping the monkey so far and a fine.”
