It appears that someone may have dismantled Kanye’s performance set.”He was rightfully upset as they dismantled half his staging 30 minutes prior to showtime,” says a source close to the star told People. “I’m not sure if there was a miscommunication or what. It was smoothed over and the show went on as planned.”
Page Six called the incident a meltdown, “Just moments leading into the live show, and during the live show, Kanye had a meltdown and threatened to walk off. It had something to do with the set. Kim, who was in the audience with Kylie Jenner, had to come down. Lorne had to personally talk to Kanye. There were a few really tense minutes” when it looked like West was walking, leaving the live NBC show in the lurch.
Another source added, “He freaked out about how the set was arranged. He was saying he’s ‘the greatest artist.’ He’s having regular meltdowns. Everyone’s walking on eggshells around him. He’s under a lot of stress between the new album and the fashion line.” And guess what Kim too fond of Kanye’s twitter fingers. “What causes friction in the marriage, however, is Kanye’s compulsive tweeting. Kim can’t stand it. She is all for self-promotion, but doesn’t approve of Twitter drama.”
