Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas could not weather the cheating storm and have officially called it quits. McPhee, from Smash and the upcoming CBS drama Scorpion has filed for divorce from Cokas after six years of marriage and a separation. A rep for McPhee confirmed the split exclusively to PEOPLE, “After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time.”
During their separation last year McPhee was seen kissing her married Smash director Michael Morris, which almost broke up the marriage of Morris and actress Mary McCormack. They have since reconciled and it looked like McPhee and Cokas were also on the road to reconciliation after being spotted together again this year, but it just did not work out and they are moving on.
