Not Just A Pop Star, I’m A Designer Too!
Yes KatyCats, Katy Perry will be dropping her very own shoe line, Katy Perry Footwear. We will have to wait until 2017 to see what whimsical and funky fun shoes Katy designed, but we do have a few deets. The collection will consist of bold sandals, sneakers, stilettos and pumps and will be made of “lucite and vinyl” with a mix of floral prints.
“It’s been a creative goal of mine to be a real contributor in the affordable fashion space,” Katy told WWD. “Launching a footwear collection felt like a natural first step for me. After years of investigating and researching partnerships to find the right fit for the debut of my line, I found that Global Brands most resonated with my artistic ideas. They understand my vision, my eye for detail, and have the international reach and resources to bring my canvas of ideas to life.”
Katy will partner with Global Brands Group to make the collection. They are also linked with Jennifer Lopez, Diddy and David Beckham. Prices will range from $59 to $299 and will launch in Spring 2017.
