Katy Perry invited her husband, Russell Brand to join her on her tour stop in Japan and guess what…he was deported back to the US because of his criminal past. Japan has a strict policy on not letting people with criminal charges into Japan remember Paris Hilton ( it happened to her too)!

British comedian Russell Brand was detained in Japan on Sunday and promptly deported from the country after authorities discovered his criminal past.
Brand, who had flown to Tokyo to watch his wife Katy Perry perform in concert, has previously been arrested on 11 separate occasions. Most of the arrests — which Brand has spoken openly about — were from over ten years ago and were for drug offenses and public indecency.
After the unfortunate turn of events with Japanese authorities, the actor and the rock star then took to their Twitter accounts to vent.
“So my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad,” Katy tweeted early Sunday morning. “I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place.”
Brand took a lighter tone, tweeting while he was still being detained before being shipped out. “Planning escape from Japanese custody,” the Get Him to the Greek star tweeted. “It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick.”
