"Think Like A Man Too" Hollywood Premiere - Arrivals

Keke Palmer will become first African-American Cinderalla on Broadway when she takes on the role this September. “It’s honestly one of those things that I can’t believe is really happening,” Palmer told the AP. “I’m very excited. Very excited and nervous as well — a bunch of feelings all at once. Theater offers so much more than I haven’t been able to access doing film and TV and everything like that. I’m very excited to learn all that it has to offer — that focus and that dedication to perform at a certain level every night.”

She added,  “I feel like the reason I’m able to do this is definitely because Brandy did it on TV. In me doing this, it shows everybody that everything is possible.”

This will be the 21-year-old’s first stage performance but has been acting since 2004 when she landed a role in the movie, Barbershop 2: Back in Business. The starlet also recently added host to her resume with her own talk show on BET, Just Keke. And she also sings!

And guess who will be playing Cinderalla’s stepmother —she just ditched The View and she is a comedian…no not Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd.
