"Nothing Left Unsaid: Gloria Vanderbilt & Anderson Cooper" New York City Premiere - Arrivals

Kelly Ripa still has no permanent co-host for Live! With Kelly after the departure of Michael Strahan earlier this year. But Kelly is in no rush to find her seatmate on the show she told a caller when she stopped by Watch What Happens Live. “We really didn’t set a time frame for ourselves. We just wanted to wait until we found the right person. What we didn’t anticipate was that we would have such an outpouring of interest, so our list got very long very quickly. We’ve been trying to keep it as narrow as possible, but then people pop up.”

And Kelly has no shortage of co-hosts like besties Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen along with hubby Mark Consuelos, Joel McHale, Josh Groban, Jerry O’Connell, and Jussie Smollett and upcoming hosts Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson. “We’ve had a great time. I have to say, I feel really lucky and really embarrassed at our good fortune,” Kelly said. “It’s a fun job to begin with.”

And of course Kelly acknowledged that she’s always wanted Anderson to be her co-host but he is bound to CNN. “Anderson re-signed with CNN, but he would have been your No. 1 pick, right Kelly?” Cohen asked Ripa who added, “He’s my life. He really is. He’s the one that got away and keeps getting away and gets away all the time.”
