Ke$ha was banned from her scheduled concert in Malaysia after government officials rejected her performance application at the last minute over the countries’ religious beliefs. Ke$ha even agreed to change elements of the show including song lyrics and wardrobe, but government officials just said no!
A rep for the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia in Malaysia allegedly said the reason for the cancellation was over “reasons of religion and culture” but failed to add additional information. Ke$ha did respond on Twitter to the controversy, “to be clear. I did NOT cancel. I was not allowed to play. and then I was going to play anyways and was threatened with imprisonment.”
