Last night we had a first hand look at what happened during Kim Kardashians’ Paris robbery on Keeping up with the Kardashians. The reality show started as normal with the ladies preparing to go to Paris for fashion week in October 2016. Throughout the episode Kim explains what she believes happened. She says may have been followed the entire time and had been snapchatting that evening, which have the robbers a timeline of her whereabouts.”I was Snapchatting that I was home and everyone was going to out, so I think they knew Pascal was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself. They had this window of opportunity and just went for it.”
Kim says he heard footsteps coming up the stais while she was in bed, she called out and there was no response.”And then at that moment, when there wasn’t an answer, my heart started to get really tense,” she said. “I knew something wasn’t quite right.” Then she saw two men dressed in police uniforms and the concierge–who was handcuffed and had the key to her room in his hand. “What I’ve heard from talking to him afterward is they said, you know, ‘Where’s the rapper’s wife? Let us up to her room!’ in French. He ended up being our interpreter because I couldn’t understand them, they couldn’t understand me.”
The concierge said the robbers wanted her ring and then they dragged her out into the hallway and then she realized they had guns.”I was looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs. I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision. Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back—it makes me so upset to think about it—but either they’re going to shoot me in the back or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t open in time or the stairs are locked, then I’m f–ked! There’s no way out.” Kim says she told told the concierge to tell them she has a family, “I have babies. Please, they can’t understand me, but tell them I have babies at home. Please, I have a family. Let me live!”
KIm added that she was screaming so much that a man duct taped her mouth and then he grabbed her legs and she says she mentally prepared to be raped. “And then, he grabs my legs and I wasn’t, you know, I had no clothes on under. He pulled me toward him at the front of the bed and I thought, ‘OK, this is the moment they’re going to rape me.’ I fully mentally prepped myself—and then he didn’t.” He duct taped her legs and held a gun to her head.”I just knew that was the moment. They’re just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.”
But Kim is stonger now—-after the show aired last night she tweeted, “I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me. I can say I’ve become so much better because of it. Thank you for allowing me to share my story tonight.”
