Normally you wouldn’t think that having a stroke would be a blessing, but for Kim Zolciak it was exactly that! The reality star suffered a mini-stroke (TIA) after her performance on Dancing with The Stars which left her temporarily hospital, but the stroke revealed an underlying heart issue.
“The minor TIA [transient ischemic attack] revealed that I have a PFO [patent foramen ovale], a hole in my heart that never closed,” Zolciak-Biermann said on Good Morning America. She adds the stroke occurred after a blood clot “was able to cross over through the hole.”
Kim was forced to quit Dancing With the Stars after she missed a live show.
