It’s a battle of the Kylies! Kylie Minogue is not too thrilled that Kylie Jenner wasnts to trademark their first name Kylie and Minogue is going to court over it! Kylie Jenner wants to be able to slap her name on her products like her lipstick line—she wants to use her first name for “advertising services, namely, promoting the brands, goods and services of others; endorsement services, namely, promoting the goods and services of others.”
But Minogue an established singer isn’t having it! Her company KDB Pty Ltd. filed a Notice of Opposition on behalf of Minogue on Feb. 22 claiming the trademark would dilute Minogue’s brand. The filing says “secondary reality television personality who appeared on the television series Keeping Up With the Kardashians as a supporting character, to Ms. Jenner’s halfsisters.”
Kylie HAS been in the public eye for more than 30 years! But she should have trademarked her name a long time ago. We’ll see what happens!
