Lamar Odom reportedly overdosed on cocaine and opiates before he was found unconscious. A source tells E!News that “drugs were found in his system,” and doctors are treating this situation as an overdose, but he also suffered a “loss of oxygen but also possible stroke.” Lamar is still unconscious and on a ventilator. Former teammate Kobe Bryant rushed to the hospital to see Lamar.
Khloe has not left his side since arriving around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. “She’s terribly worried and distraught over everything. She tried for so long to help Lamar get better, but he just can’t get rid of his demons. She still cares so much about him and wishes desperately that she could help him. They talk on the phone and communicate, but half the time she can’t reach him. She’s put so much energy and heart into trying to be there for him through all his troubles.”
But there is more sad news. “So, likely there’s brain damage, but they’re not sure how much,” the source added. “Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system.” Lamar may have suffered from an “ischemic stroke,” which is caused by a blood clot preventing blood flow to the brain. “He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous. They’re now having to fix all the damage it has done.”
Another source tells People, “Lamar is still fighting. It’s a waiting game right now. The first 48 hours will tell a lot. It’s so sad and the situation is unimaginable. Before Khloé got to the hospital she was inconsolable and now she just wants to be by his side. The Kardashians are his family.”
Kris Jenner has been spotted at the Nevada hospital where Lamar was admitted.
Allegeldy Lamar may have gone off the deep end after watching an episode on Keeping Up With The Kardashians where Khloe is seen talking to Lamar on the phone and it upset him.
