Sad news, Muhammad Ali, the self-proclaimed ‘Greatest of All Time’ (and ‘the Prettiest by the way) passed away yesterday at the age of 74. His family released a statement, “After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening,” Bob Gunnell, a family spokesman, told NBC News. “The Ali family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support and asks for privacy at this time.”

Ali born Cassius Clay changed his name when he turned to a new religion, Islam before rejecting the Vietnam War. He went from boxing icon to humanitarian in his later life. A funeral service has been planned in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Ali had entered the hospital this week with a respiratory issue.
