We are about to get a glimpse into Mariah Carey’s meteoric rise in the 90’s. The legendary singer’s life will be turned into a fictional scripted drama series on Starz according to Deadline. Mariah will executive produce the show with friend, Brett Ratner. Now if you are a youngster then you won’t remember Mariah’s first marriage to music mogul, Tommy Mottola when she was in her early 20’s and tense relationship. MC wrote a ton of hits after their divorce—then there was her high profile romances with singer Luis Miguel, Eminem, Nick Cannon and billionaire James Packer.
But the show will surround MC’s teen years – the with drama set in the late 80’s in NYC with an ambitious young bi-racial singer with a ton of talent who survives a tough childhood to go on and gain international stardom. It will be written by Nina Colman.
