Kathie Lee must have forgotten that Martin Short’s wife died two years ago from cancer when she mentioned her to Short and proceed to question him about their love during Wednesday’s Today Show, he took it in stride and later even forgave her saying “People make mistakes.” Of course Kathie felt bad and tweeted, “I send my sincerest apologies to @MartinShort and his family. He handled situation w/enormous grace and kindness and I’m so grateful.” Short was very sweet about the mix up and told E!News, “I think that it’s live television and people make mistakes and there’s no ill will intende. And I think it’s nice to aspire to be that way.”
