Melissa McCarthy can add fashion designer to her resume…after finding it difficult to find clothes to fit her curvy body she took on the new gig. Melissa, who’s designs will debut in Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, as well as on MelissaMcCarthy.com, will contain about 80 pieces with sizes ranging from 4 to 28 ($59 to $159).
“It’s an odd thing that you can’t go shopping with your friends because your store is upstairs hidden by the tire section,” Melissa told More Magazine. “We’ll put you gals over there because we don’t want to see you, and you probably don’t want to be seen,” she said half-joking adding, “people don’t stop at size 12. I feel like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number.”
But designer is a tough job. “It’s pretty consuming. My problem is, I don’t hand things off very well.”
