Olivia Wilde Defends Kim Kardashian?

Olivia Wilde a divorcee herself has come to the defense of Kim Kardashian for her quickie divorce from Kris Humphries. Olivia says she has empathy for Kim and calls divorce the ‘hardest thing in the world.’

Olivia Wilde doesn’t judge Kim Kardashian for her 72-day marriage. The “Butter” star, who finalized her own high-profile divorce from Italian aristo Tao Ruspoli last month, told us at a Standard Hotel after-party for “Another Happy Day,” “I empathize. It’s not easy. It’s the hardest thing in the world. People judge you because divorce is seen as failure. [Kim] took a risk. No one should be attacking her. Our attention should be focused on things that are truly scandalous.”

On a side note…RadarOnline is reporting that Kim decided on divorcing Kris after seeing unedited footage from the show, Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Kim was able to see Kris’ behavior that she had not seen before, plus he was treating her poorly!

Kim began watching the footage after filming wrapped in mid-October, and, according to a source, was, “absolutely mortified when she saw on camera, the way that Kris was treating her. The marriage was already under a tremendous amount of stress, but she just couldn’t believe that she had married this man that was treating her and her family like this.”

The marriage only lasted 72 days, and Kim decided to pull the plug after final edits had been made on the upcoming season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

“Kim didn’t tell anyone at E! that she was going to file for divorce until the day she filed. Viewers will see the demise of Kim and Kris’ marriage, but footage that is unflattering to Kim won’t be shown,” the insider tells RadarOnline.com.

“It was hard for Kim to watch all the footage, she has been unable to review it without bursting into tears. Making matters worse for Kim is that she is now isolated from her friends. It’s baffling to her best friend Brittny Gastineau that she would freeze her out at a time when Kim needs her the most,” the source reveals.
