Oscar Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide which is the equivalent to manslaughter in the US. Pistorius, a once praised Olympian dubbed Blade Runner, was found not guilty of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp just yesterday.

Pistorius’s bail was extended by Judge Thokozile Matilda Masipa until his sentence hearing in October. He can be setenced to 15 years in prison, but Maspia does not believe Pistorius will flee the country.

Pistorius was able to escape the bigger charge of premeditated murder when the Judge Thokozile Masipa explained that there was not enough evidence that Pistoruis knew it was Steenkamp in the bathroom when he opened fire at the bathroom door believing it was an intruder.
