Oscar Pistorius has been found not guilty of the premeditated murder of girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. But the once revered Olympian may still face other charges in the shooting murder of his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day 2013. Pistorius could still face charges of culpable homicide. The Judge Thokozile Masipa said Pistorius “negligent,” but the evidence showed he did not intend to kill his girlfriend when he beloved an intruder had broken into his home. “It is it is clear that his conduct was negligent,” she said.
The judge also believes the media surround the high profile case may have contaminated testimonies. If Pistorius is found guilty there is not set sentence for the crime, it would be at the judges discretion.
