Prince William and Kate will finally be able to plant roots, but not just yet! The couple will move into Kensington Palace in 2013, currently they live in a cottage and will move into an apartment soon.
The royal couple are set to make Kensington Palace their permanent residence starting in 2013, a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess confirms to Us Weekly.
Currently making their temporary home in a two bedroom cottage on the Palace grounds, Will and Kate, both 29, will move into an apartment once occupied by the late Princess Margaret and remain there from mid- to late-2013.
William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, will move into their current digs once the couple’s new apartment — currently being used by the Historic Royal Palaces charity as office space, classrooms and storage — is renovated.
The new royal digs are set to be designed by Kelly Hoppen, whose air fresheners and candles Kate favored when furnishing their temporary pad last summer.
“Kelly has already been selected to take care of the interior design at the palace,” a royal aide told Us. “They want to create a modern quarter to live in. She has been actively involved in meetings with William and Kate’s office.”
Also on the horizen is a possible pregnancy…Kate has been seen touching her belly!
“Kate would not stop touching her tummy –it was very noticeable. She continually patted it and held her hands against it. She must have been doing it without realizing, and at one point she had both her hands cradling her stomach.”
