Rihanna is about to ‘Run this town’ or should I say, MET Gala. Vogue just announced that the pop singer is all set to host the Catholic-themed exhibition titled, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” along with Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace. Hmmm, we think the Pope might not find it too cool, us, on the other hand, can’t wait for the fashion festivities, known for the over the top, extravagant looks. Next year will feature garments borrowed from the Vatican along with its own items from the METs own collection and 150 designer garments that have been inspired by Catholic iconography or style according to the NYTimes.
Amal is a newbie to the MET fashion fun but Donatella has attended 16 Galas beginning back in 1995, while Rihanna has been to seven starting in 2007. We will have to wait until next year (May 7, 2018) to see what Rihanna, Amal and Donatella have up their fashion sleeves and we hope they go all out and don’t play safe!
