The View is looking to gain a younger following with ‘flash sales,’ but Rosie O’Donnell is not having it and expressed her disgust not only on in front of live TV, but backstage too. The View almost feels more volatile now than when Rosie and Elizabeth Hasselbeck were fighting. While on air Whoopi Goldberg announced starting Monday they would have “Must-Have Flash Sale” to which Rosie replied, “I didn’t know we were doing that — that makes us like the Home Shopping Club, what is that? … I didn’t enjoy those, but maybe it’s just me.”

But it was backstage that Rosie truly showed her disdain for the flash sale concept telling a preoducer, “Why didn’t someone tell me about this segment? Who in the hell approved that concept? I hated it on the previous version of the show. I won’t stand for this crap!” The producer explained the new segment is to try and lure in younger viewers. “Don’t give me that bull***t! Stop trying to change this show to get younger viewers. This is not what I signed up for!”

Umm, if The View were really looking to gain some younger viewers maybe they should have hired a few younger co-hosts!
