Russell Simmons is not too pleased with Miss Universe Leila Lopes over a recent incident. Simmons alleges he sent Lopes flowers when he couldn’t make it to her farewell party and Lopes construed it as a romantic gesture…well Simmons was upset and sent her a tweet calling her a ‘publicity whore’ and accused her of trying to make her boyfriend, New York Giants defensive end Umenyiora jealous.
Russell Simmons rudely called Miss Universe Leila Lopes a “publicity whore” on Twitter after Page Six reported Simmons missed her farewell party at Empire Steakhouse — where her new boyfriend, New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora, was spotted — but later sent her flowers. Sulky Simmons tweeted on Thursday: “U need to stop, my flowers were to wish u well, not to make your boy jealous ? 🙂 why put them on pg 6?” He then added: “I was out w: my girl, sorry I missed ur party. Don’t stir up [bleep]. Don’t be publicity whore or push your boys buttons. Love you.” We’re told Lopes met Umenyiora at a show during New York Fashion Week, and the two have been dating ever since.
