This will be Shakira’s last hurrah on The Voice. After two non-consecutive seasons taking over for Christina Aguilera temporarily on the NBC hit Shakira will not be making a return, as a judge at least. “No, I don’t have any plans of coming back because this was always a temporary thing for me to do. I’m not really a TV celebrity and I have to prep for the tour and also do other stuff like being a mother.”
Gwen Stefani will take over for a pregnant Christina Aguilera next season and presumably Christina will return after that…maybe that’s still unclear. Gwen is only slated for a one year contract.
